Heat transfer patches are printed on twill or satin fabrics that are prepared with a white background in advance in order to get the most vibrant colors. The printing can also be done on white tatami/fill embroidery stitches to create fuller and more dimensional effects. Multiple techniques such as woven, embroidery, and printing can be incorporated to achieve high quality and outstanding results. When conveying images with details or photo realistic images, heat transfer patches are definitely the most suitable way to consider!

Printed Patch With Design Printed Directly On Fabric
On this patch, the design is fully color-printed directly onto a piece of white satin fabric to capture the most vibrant underwater colors. The printed fabric is then cut to shape, and the text is embroidered. The final step is to finish the backing and add a merrowed border.

Printed Patch With Design Printed On Partial Embroidered Satin Fabric
On this piece, we want to place more emphasis on the sea turtle. The first step is to embroider the entire sea turtle using white thread. Next, we heat transfer the complete design onto the white satin fabric with the previously prepared embroidered sea turtle. Our artisan excels at aligning the printing with the embroidery precisely. We then repeat the final steps to complete the piece. The result is a beautiful patch with a fuller and more dimensional sea turtle that appears to pop out of the patch. This is a technique commonly employed with printed patches to achieve finer results.
