Woven patches are an excellent alternative to embroidery patches when you require lightweight, thinner patches with a quick turnaround and cost-effectiveness. If your design includes intricate details, such as small lettering, woven patches are an ideal choice to achieve a clean, crisp, and graphic style. Woven patches can be meticulously customized to match your exact specifications in terms of colors and details. Some of our customers prefer to opt for a multi-colored woven background with embroidered logos to create high-end patches using different techniques.

Difference Between Woven And Embroidery Patches

First of all, the threads used for the woven labels are much thinner than the ones used for embroidery so better details and text clarity can be achieved with woven patches. Therefore, gradient colors are better demonstrated with woven patches when thinner threads mingle. The other advantage is that a woven patch does not have the bulkiness of embroidery patch usually does. Despite all of the above, some people still prefer embroidery patches. Embroidery is classic and traditional, it creates a textured surface and a dimensional look. Embroidery threads are thicker and the colors are vibrant. When looking at both woven and embroidery patches from a distance, embroidery patches are definitely more noticeable.
